The first thing youll notice is the craftsmanship and quality involved in the design of this exhaust. Crafted in true Capristo fashion, this exhaust uses only the highest grade polished T309 stainless steel. It includes all mounting points and hangers. You will also notice that it retains the OEM vacuum actuated valves to control the flow of exhaust under different driving conditions. At idle and low speeds, the 458s exhaust exits only from the center pipe of its unique triple-exit center exhaust.

The Capristo system does not have any restrictive factory exhaust sound regulations, and was engineered and designed to let the howl of the 458s 9,000 rpm redline to be heard by all with the distinctive Capristo sound.

By installing a Capristo System, you will not only dramatically improve the sound of your vehicle, but you will get more power in the rpm range where you would normally drive. Very few people drive their road vehicles at max rpm like an F1 driver, so this system gives you the power where you want it. Like Capristos other high performance exhausts, the 458 system is intended to be a balanced increase between power, drive ability and sound quality, all while saving a ton of weight.

The 458 caused some negative headlines due to some heat problems. Capristo established that too much heat was released from the components of the exhaust system into the engine department. As part of its exhaust development for the 458, Capristo developed heat protecting shields with more efficiency than the stock parts providing an increase performance lost from heat soak.

It is important to note that Ferrari 458 owners are required to have the headers installed with the heat protection shields. It is so important in fact, that if you do not install the heat shields, it could ruin you car completely and any warranty would not be upheld. Trust us, install the heat shields.
